Judith “Judy” G. Peto

Judith "Judy" G. Peto, age 83, of Flint Township, passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at her home. A Funeral Mass and rosary will take place 10:30 AM, Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1227 East Bristol Road, Burton, MI 48529. Fr. Georges Bidzogo will preside. A visitation will take place prior to the Mass starting at 9:30 AM. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Holy Redeemer Outreach, Local Food Bank, or the Genesee County Humane Society that were very dear to Judy.

Judy was born on September 8, 1940 in Flint. She was the daughter of the late Norman and Garnet Bully. She graduated from St. Agnes Catholic High School, class of 1958. Judy and Steve were united in marriage on October 25, 1958 in Flint. She was employed for 30 years at Michigan Bell telephone company in the assignment department until her retirement. She then worked for Warwick Hills Country Club of Grand Blanc for 10 years. Judy was an active member of the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and their Council of Catholic Women, the Genesee County Sheriff Consumer Fraud Division, and the former president of the Genesee Kearsley Rescue Squad. In her free time, She enjoyed spending time with her family, her dog, Tilly, and spoiling her grandkids.

She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Stephen Peto; sons, Stephen Peto II and Robert (Barbara) Peto; grandchildren, Travis (Danielle) Peto, Krystal Peto, Sarah Peto and Tommy Nottoli; great-granddaughter, Lily Peto; and sister-in-law, Mary A Walder. Judy will be remembered as a devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother and friend.
