Judy was born on January 14, 1945, in Flint, Michigan to the late Ralph & Lanie Thorpe. She graduated from Flushing High School in 1963 and that very year married her sweetheart on November 22nd. Together they were blessed with their six children. Judy raised a house with love and delicious food.
She loved bingo, the casino, and playing cards with her sister Fran, as well fishing with her sons and her brother, Tom. She was an avid reader and had many other hobbies; including model trains, crafting doll houses, collecting porcelain dolls, knitting baby clothes, bird watching, and playing video games. Judy was most known for being a wonderful cook (she specialized in fudge and candies) and rescuing many beloved animals. Throughout the many years, she hosted family holiday dinners.
Judith is survived by her six children, Rayann Moody of Burton, Lyn-Marie Richards of Swartz Creek, Lori (Stephen) Church of Dickson, TN, Denise (Scott) Endicott of Hartland, Larry Floyd (Laura) Moody II of North Branch, Tim (Rufina) Moody of Flushing; 16 grandchildren, Jimmy (Devin), Lanie (Spencer), CeCi (Jodi), Zach (Jessica), Brittany (Tommy), Ricky (Brittany), Courtney (Brandon), Sammy (Cody), Robert (Deanna), Ralph (Serena), Raquel, Phoebe, Santana, Frankie, Coco and Vic; 13 great-grandchildren and two brothers, Thomas (Cheryl) and Dennis (Terry) Thorpe. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends; most significantly her best friends Kathy and Bev and her beloved pets: Persephone, Iggy, Izzy, and Liliana.
In addition to her parents, Ralph & Lanie, Judith was preceded in death by her husband, Larry in 2014; sister, Francis McAttee and brother, Ralph "Bud" Thorpe.
The family would like to thank the nurses and medical staff at Hurley Medical Center - Flint for taking such good care of Judy and her family.
