Judith Kay Landesman

LANDESMAN, Judith Kay (McCormick) - died Sunday, March 22, 2009 at Genesys Hospice Care Center. Services will be held 1 PM Thursday, March 26, 2009 at Central Church of the Nazarene, 1261 Bristol Rd., Flint with Pastor W. Glen Gardner officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 AM until the time of service on Thursday at the church. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to Salvation Army, Genesys Hospice, or Carriage Town Ministries. Born in Flint, MI, she grew up in Otisville, MI with her brothers Tom (Carol) & Ned (Diane) as well as sisters Gail (David) & Louanne (Bob). She graduated Lakeville High School and attended Hurley School of Radiology. She married the love of her life, Donald Joe Landesman, D.O. on December 5, 1968 in Fayetteville, NC after which they moved to Panama from 1969-70. In the years that followed, they lived in Huntington Woods, MI as well as North Palm Beach, FL before settling in Grand Blanc, MI in 1979. Her first son Joshua Vincent (Stefanie) was born in 1973 followed by Nathan Joseph (Alicia) in 1975. She was always active in her sons' aspirations & endeavors - accepting parental responsibilities (especially school functions) including many years on the educational board of Powers Catholic High School. During Josh's film school years in New York City & Nathan's medical training, she made life as comfortable and as pleasant as possible by being the "Go To" person for EVERYTHING. Judi raised two boys, ran a household, conducted all family business, strategized and implemented all family investments all while maintaining a jewelry business for 25 years. She never fell short in any endeavor she started. She will also be missed by her dog, Precious Angel. Judi's family would like to thank everyone involved in her care over the last few years including: Shirley Mae Morgan, the Ange Family (Burt, Grace, & Burton), Dr. Henry & Deborah Beckmeyer, Pastor Glen Gardner, Jim & Toni Lott, Dr. Allen Trager & staff (Tina, Dana, & Rhonda), Drs. Paul Adams & Stuart Weiner, Drs. John Socey & Carl Gutekunst, Mary Cesar, Flint Gastro docs, the chemotherapy nurses at Genesys-Hurley Cancer Institute, Pain clinic Drs. Culver & Kohn and staff, The Surgery Center of Flint staff, Sharon Duso, RN & the staff of the Genesys Center for Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Medicine, Secretary Amy at Genesys-Hurley Cancer Institute and the staff at Genesys Hospice Care Center in Goodrich.
