JENKINS, Judith Elizabeth Marie  Age 59, of Holly, died Monday, September 1, 2003 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Friday, September 5, 2003 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Interment will be held at Oakwood Cemetery, Gaines. Visitation will be held 5-9 PM Wednesday and 2-4 and 6-9 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the charity of ones choice. Mrs. Jenkins was born April 26, 1944 in Laidley, Queensland, Australia, the daughter of Thomas and Sybil Ada (Kiers) Nagy. She had resided in Holly the past 17 years coming from the Detroit area. She married Roland Jenkins on September 28, 1963 in Bay Village, OH. Mrs. Jenkins was a graduate of Bay High School in Bay Village, OH. She was a teacher of cosmetology and was employed by the State of Michigan as an evaluator for cosmetology licensing. She had taught at Plymouth / Canton Public Schools and was a mentor to special needs children. Mrs. Jenkins was currently a senior at University of Michigan  Flint studying art and art history. She enjoyed art, crafts, knitting, painting, camping, reading science fiction novels and traveling. Her travels have taken her to Egypt and Australia. She was a member of the Fenton Forget-Me-Nots. Mrs. Jenkins was a very serious genealogist who enjoyed tracing her ancestry. Most of all she loved her family. Surviving are: husband, Roland of Holly; two daughters, Allison Jenkins of Plymouth, Jenni Jenkins and Leo Perez of Ocoee, FL; son, Jason Jenkins and Bridget Pike of Canton; mother, Sybil Nagy of Indian Harbor Beach, FL; father-in-law, Lyle Jenkins of Mecosta; brother-in-law, Tom and wife, Arlene Jenkins of Big Rapids; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
