DeWaters, Judith Anne - age 82, of Linden, formerly of Lansing, passed away Monday, December 2, 2024. Funeral Services will be 11 AM Friday, December 13 at Linden Free Methodist Church, 13274 Linden Rd., Linden. Visitation will be held from 4-8 PM Thursday December 12 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton; and 10 AM until the time of service Friday December 13 at the church. Those desiring may make contributions to Residential Hospice.
Judith was born March 5, 1942 in Lansing, the daughter of Merton Wayne Roth and Elizabeth Perry (Ranney) Roth. She was a 1960 graduate of JW Sexton High School of Lansing. Judith married Ronnie Brandt DeWaters in Lansing on July 1, 1961, they shared 45 years together until his passing on September 23, 2006. She had worked for the Home Builders Association of Livingston County. Judith was a devoted member of Linden Free Methodist Church. She was very active in bible study and considered this group like sisters. Judith was also an avid Detroit Red Wings fan.
Surviving are: two children, Ronald (Robin) DeWaters of King George, VA, Robin (Kevin) Wolanin of Holly; five grandchildren, Collin DeWaters, Jamie Wolanin (fiancé Mason Borzym), Lauren (David) Lieder, Dani Wolanin, Kylee Wolanin; and one great grandchild due to be born in May.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, Merton and Elizabeth Roth, husband Ronnie DeWaters; brother, David Roth; and beloved daughter, Jennifer. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
