Judell Payne

Payne, Judell Ellen - Age 79 of Flint, died December 22, 2017. Funeral Services will be held 11 AM, Wednesday, December 27 at Resurrection Reformed Church, 5225 Calkins Road, Flint. Visitation will be 12/26 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek from 2PM-4PM and then 6PM-8PM. Wednesday at the church from 10AM until time of service. Burial will be in Flint Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Resurrection Reformed Church and Friends of Michigan Animal Rescue. Judell was born on July 30, 1938 in Flint to Claude and Dorothy (Dailey) Sharpe. She married Gordon R. Payne in Montrose, Michigan on April 18, 1964. Judell graduated from Mott Junior College and was secretary at Mott Junior College for 10 years. She was also the secretary of Resurrection Reformed Church for 30 years. She was a charter member of the Resurrection Reformed Church. She was also a member of Tails-A-Wagon camping club. She enjoyed camping, needle point, crafting, cake decorating, and bowling. She was a girl scout leader for several years. Judell was the founder of "her neighborhood birthday club". Surviving are husband Gordon; daughter, Melinda (Lori Whitman) Payne; brother-in-law, Dalton Rolfe; nephews, Eric (Amanda) Rolfe and Ryan (Lilly) Rolfe, "Grand Dogs & Cats".
