Juan was born on January 25, 1945 to the late Miguel & Guadalupe Perez in Robstown, Texas. He proudly served in the United States Army, during his service he was deployed to Germany and also the Vietnam War. Juan was employed with General Motors for over 40 years retiring in 2006.

Juan was a simple man who proudly tended to his yard work. He enjoyed the summer months as that meant he got to ride the mower. His favorite way to spend time outdoors was fishing and camping; he was even known to pitch a tent in the backyard. He was known as "that friendly neighbor" and frequently helped others with their cars or other small projects. He adored his grandchildren and was given the duty of school chauffeur with school drop-offs and pick-ups. Though he lived a simple life, Juan valued above all good character. He stood to be a father figure in many people lives. Juan was a good husband, loving dad and proud papa his family will miss him dearly.

He is survived by his loving children, Miguel (Veronica) Perez and Tecelia Perez; 7 grandchildren, Aliiah (Trevor) Siemen, Shyann Davis, Alyana (Jaire) Harrell, Diego Davis, Mackenzie Perez, Quintin Ide and Sofiana Ayala; siblings, Mary Daughtry, Rudy (Margie) Perez, Pete (Lupe) Perez, Vilma Arellano, Syliva Garza, Elda (Glenn) Couty; brothers-in-law, Enrique Segura and Louie Vasquez and sister-in-law, Rhonda Saylor. He is further survived by many other dear family members too numerous to list but never forgotten.

In addition to his parents, Juan was preceded in death by his wife, Yvonne in 2007;his daughter, Tina Perez; his son, Mark Davis; two sisters, Delia Vasquez and Martha Segura and brother-in-law, Terry Saylor.
