Joyce Loraine WRIGHT

WRIGHT, Joyce Loraine (Miller), age 77, died Friday, December 18, 2009, in Boynton Beach, Florida. She was born in Bay City on February 27, 1932, the daughter of James and Grace (Garrison) Miller. Those who love her include her husband, Victor M. Wright, of Boynton Beach and her 3 children: Douglas Wright of Ionia, Vicki (George) Catsimpiris of Boca Raton, Florida, and Donald (Diane) Wright of Chelsea. She enjoyed incredibly special life-long relationships with her adored grandchildren: Daryl Wright of Bradenton, Florida, Bradley Wright of Chelsea, Benny Wright of St. Petersburg, Florida, Jennifer (Nick) Vetter of Chelsea, Peter Catsimpiris of NYC, and Joyce Catsimpiris of Boca Raton. She is survived by her sister and best friend, Elizabeth (Libby) Wright of Boca Raton, as well as sister-in-laws Joyce, Eileen, and Alva Miller, and numerous cherished nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her brothers: James, Donald, and Alfred Miller, and brother-in-law, Leonard Wright. Raised in Flint, she graduated from Flint Central, but resided in Swartz Creek for 30 years and retired from Swartz Creek Community Schools in 1988. She enjoyed all of her colleagues as well as the students she served and loved to hear of their successes as adults. After retirement, she and her husband relocated to Florida where she delighted in organizing family activities and celebrations, as well as her dog and her lovely home. Services will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miler Road, Swartz Creek. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday from 1 to 4 and 6 to 9.
