Joyce Marie Watson

WATSON, Joyce Marie, age 79, of Bancroft, passed away Friday, November 13, 2009 at home. Funeral Services will be 12PM Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at The Chapel at Apple Mountain, 4519 River Rd., Freeland, MI. Interment will follow at Owen Cemetery, Saginaw. Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8 Monday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Memorial donations may be made to Great Lakes Hospice or Alzheimer's Association. Joyce was born in Thomas Twp., the daughter of the late Clayton and Bernice (McNeil) Leaman. She married Donald Watson September 10, 1949 in Saginaw. Joyce and Don were world travelers, enjoying time together in Russia, Scotland, England, Australia, Turkey, Greece, Poland, Caribbean and many more. She also loved going to the family cabin in Mio. She enjoyed gardening, bowling, collecting antiques, and was a huge Michigan State Fan. More than anything, Joyce was a loving and successful Mother. She truly enjoyed this role and was proud of all her children. Surviving are her husband, Donald; six children, David Watson (Pamela) of Fredrickstown, Ohio, Sharon Watson (Donald Loding) of East Lansing, Bruce Watson (Rebecca Rick-Watson) of East Lansing, John Watson (Marjorie) of Black Forrest, CO, Thomas Watson (Susan) of Novi, Sara Reeside (Shane) of Grosse Pointe Farms; many grandchildren and one great-grandson.
