RIEGLE, Joyce Elizabeth (Pidcock) -- Age 74, of Flint Township, died Saturday, April 25, 2015 at McLaren Hospice surrounded by family. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11:30 Friday, May 1, 2015 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 3139 Hogarth Ave., Flint with Rev. Fr. Robert Copeland celebrant. Interment will follow at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be held 1-8 PM Thursday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek where a rosary will be prayed at 7 PM Thursday evening. Visitation will also be from 10:30 AM until time of service at the church on Friday. Joyce was born at St. Joseph Hospital on October 25, 1940 in Flint. She was married for nearly 50 years to John L. Riegle, Jr. She was the daughter of George and Florence (Raiche) Pidcock. She is the beloved mother of Thomas (Jodi), Sarah (Whitney) Lemelin, Jane, Mary (David Cenefels), Elizabeth, John and Andrew. Doting grandmother of Kira, Valerie, Joseph, John, Eleanor, Katerina and Anna. Loving sister of Patricia Rodgers, Louella Cashin and Richard (Lynn) Pidcock. Adored niece of Anne Raiche and aunt of many nieces and nephews. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, aunts and uncles, siblings, George, James and Frances Illis. Joyce graduated from St. John Vianney Catholic High School in 1958, from St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing in 1961, and received a BSN from the University of Michigan-Flint in 1991. She worked as an RN at St. Joseph Hospital, FOH, AC Delco and Genesys. Joyce enjoyed gardening, playing Bridge and Scrabble, traveling, reading, writing long letters and spending time with family and friends. She had a tenacious heart, beautiful soul and a wry sense of humor. She was deeply loved and will be dearly missed. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Luke M.
