Joyce  was born July 31, 1937, the daughter of Oscar Earnest Yost and Ina Elaine (Cochran) Yost . She married Robert Dewayne Mansfield on April 30, 1955; he preceded her in death September 5, 2017. They lived over 35 years on Wixom Lake and were FOE members for 45 years at Albright Shores. She loved to travel. She went to Florida many years with family.  She took many cruises and traveled to Hawaii, Alaska, Europe, Italy, France, Madrid, Vatican, Monica, and Ireland. Mom loved to travel all over the world. Joyce had a great sense of humor, she had a comeback for everything.  Joyce was a loving and caring wife and mother. She loved her grand babies dearly. She had a big heart when it came to her kids and grandkids. As a Domestic Engineer, she was an excellent cook and bargain shopper. Mom loved garage sales, the car never went past one. She fed not only her family but their friends as well. The neighborhood kids were always welcome in her home. Joyce enjoyed cooking and feeding other so much it led to her, and her best friend Carol, starting a catering business. They catered weddings and other events to serve the community. Joyce was amazing at sewing. She made clothing for her children when they were young, and she made quilts for the grandkids and great grandkids.   She enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, gardening, and flowers. Her favorite time was Christmas and she was known for her generous and thoughtful gift-giving. No one attended her Christmas gathering without her making it special for each individual person. Joyce had a great love for Christmas and loved being with the family and enjoyed having everyone together. It gave her such joy to watch the grandkids and great grandchildren opening their gifts and seeing the joy on their faces. In loving Christmas she loved cooking and making her famous cookies. She would make 10 different kinds. She would make several boxes, not only for her family and friends, but also for her doctors, dentist, therapists, and the kids teachers. She had and infectious smile and loved to have fun with anyone she was with. She was a beacon for the family and will be so incredibly missed.
