Joyce Lahar

LAHAR, Joyce Ann (Lambert) - Age 89, of Flint, formerly of Grand Blanc, passed Thursday, February 25, 2021. No services will take place. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Burial will take place in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Flint. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (ALSAC/St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105) or the McLaren Hospice (McLaren Hospice and Home Care Foundation, Attn: Donations, 1515 Cal Drive, Davison, MI 48423).

Joyce was born on February 6, 1932 in Flint the daughter of Virgil and Florence (Laviolette) Lambert. She graduated from St. Michaels Catholic School. Joyce and Harry Lahar were united in marriage on September 1, 1951 in Flint. She worked for St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Morris as a receptionist and KMart as an associate for 18 years. She loved spending time with her family. In her free time she enjoyed playing BINGO and jigsaw puzzles.

She is survived by her daughters, Karen Lahar of NC and Carol (Pat) Willits of Flint; 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and 2 sisters, Loraine (Jim) Girard and Mary Eve.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Lahar; son, Thomas Lahar; daughter-in-law, Doris Lahar; great-grandson, Colton; and parents, Virgil and Florence Lambert. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
