KING, Joyce Elaine - Age 83, of Flint, died March 18, 2017. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Thursday, March 23 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be 2-8 PM Wednesday. Those desiring may make contributions to the Genesee County Humane Society. Joyce was born July 25, 1933 in Flint the daughter of Frederick George Turner and Ethel Grace (Holmes) Turner. She had worked as a lunch mother at Washington Elementary. She loved her family. She loved animals. Surviving are: children, Karen Johnson, Sandie (Nesan) Nesan, Dennis (Jamie) King; special daughters, Joan Cunningham and Amy Chiu; grandchildren, Nicholas (Amber) Nesan, Joseph Nesan, April Joy (Brandon) Johnson; brother, Robert (Charlene) Turner; many loved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Philip Rose King. The family extends a special thank you to the staff at Genesee Care Center for their love and caring, especially, Shirley, for the donuts and coffee, Genesys ICU, and especially Dr. Reddy.
