Joyce Marlyn DAVIS

DAVIS, Joyce Marlyn - Age 82, of Linden, died Wednesday, October 19, 2011. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, October 24, 2011 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 402 S. Ballenger Highway, Flint. Pastor Steve Maske officiating. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton Sunday from 1-4 and 6-8 PM and at church Monday from 10:00 AM until time of service. Those desiring may make contributions to St. Paul Lutheran Church or Genesys Hospice. Mrs. Davis was born January 23, 1929 in Detroit, the daughter of Julius and Mary (Bahr) Franz. She was a 1947 graduate of Western High School in Detroit. She married Roger Tyrus Davis June 9, 1951 in Detroit. Mrs. Davis was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She was very active in the Western High School Alumni and had made over 300 quilts for World Relief. Surviving are: husband of 60 years, Roger; 3 children, Charlotte Davis of Pittsfield, Paul and wife Sue Davis of Pinckney and Carl and wife Laura Davis of Rochester Hills; 3 grandchildren, Kristine, James and Danny Davis all of Rochester Hills; sister, Esther Manor of Flat Rock; several nieces and nephews.
