Joyce Ciesielski

CIESIELSKI, Joyce Ann - Age 87, of Linden, died Wednesday, May 11, 2016. Funeral service will be held 12:00 PM Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Sharp Funeral homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday from 4-8 PM. Those desiring may make contributions to the Linden Community Schools, c/o Battle of the Books Program or the Restoration of the Mill (City of Linden Project 1871). Joyce was born February 21, 1929 in Saginaw the daughter of Leo Carl and Eleanor E. (Cubitt) Mesack. She was a graduate of Linden High School. She married Colin E. Ciesielski April 17, 1947 in Rankin and he preceded her in death May 7, 1998. She had resided in Linden since 1947. Joyce was a former member of Linden Presbyterian Church and a life member of Linden Order of the Eastern Star #175. She also served on the Linden Library Board and the City of Linden Election Board. Surviving are: 4 children, Edward and wife Betty Ciesielski of Linden, Rebecca Ciesielski of Grand Blanc, John and wife Mary Jo Ciesielski of Linden, and Ann and husband James Rowe of Swartz Creek; grandchildren, Russell (Heidie) Ciesielski of Linden, Jennie Mooney of Oxford, Jason (Kelsey) Jones of Clarkston, Melissa (Ben) Hyatt of Davison, Wendy (Mark) Uminn of Kalamazoo, Angie (Tim) Kelley of Byron, John (Teresa) Ciesielski of Linden, Jacob (Sarah) Ciesielski of Linden, Jim (Quinn) Rowe of Colorado, and Ashley (Rob) Metcalf of Flushing; 20 great grandchildren; sister, Kay and husband John Huggins of Flushing; brother, William and wife Linda Sobey of Durand; sisters-in-law, Betty Stiff of Linden and Isabelle Steele Mesack of Fenton; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
