Joyce Amelia Brown

Brown, Joyce Amelia - Age 77, of Flint, died Thursday, October 19, 2006 at her daughter's home. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM Monday, October 23, 2006 at Christ the King Lutheran Church, G-3499 W. Carpenter Rd., Flint, 48504. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, American Diabetes Association, or Christ the King Lutheran Church. Mrs. Brown was born February 22, 1929 in Flint, the daughter of Casper and Emma (Roth) Hendershott. She was a 1947 graduate of Central High School and a life long resident of Flint. Mrs. Brown was baptized, confirmed, and married at Calvary Lutheran Church in Flint. She enjoyed bowling with Westhaven Ladies (T & C) 1965-1980 and with B's 'Honey B's' since 1980. She also served on Township Voting Precincts (mostly #6). Surviving are her husband of 57 years, Lloyd of Flint; 5 children, Deborah and husband Larry Walter of Flint, Stephen Brown of Marion, MI, Scott Brown of Flint, Deanna Earegood of Flint, Bethany and husband Bob Bruce of Florida; 10 grandchildren, Frank French, Stephen Brown, Tiffany Brown, Rebecca, Amy and Jacob Earegood, Emily, Kelly and Collin Bruce; 8 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Vera and husband Leland Town of Corunna; Dale and wife Patricia Hendershott of Florida, Ray and wife Rhea Hendershott of Crystal Falls, MI.
