Joyce Marie BESAW-TUCKER

BESAW-TUCKER, Joyce Marie - Age 80, of Flint, died Saturday, October 23, 2010 at Avalon Hospice. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Burial will follow in Flint Memorial Park. Visitation will be held 12-9 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to Avalon Hospice. Joyce was born November 10, 1929 in Flint, the daughter of the late Walter and Edith (Horton) Tubbs. She married Lloyd Besaw on December 14, 1946 in Flint; he preceded her in death on August 6, 1997. She was then married to Bob Tucker on May 18, 2008. Joyce was a member of St. Robert Parish in Flushing. She enjoyed being with family, bowling, playing cards and had a passion for dancing. Surviving are: five daughters, June (Jim) Kerns of Gaines, Jeanne Gorrie of Mt. Morris, Mary (Ron) Haywood of Flushing, Maureen (Dave) Sanders of Swartz Creek, Louise (Charles) Arntz of Swartz Creek; step-son, Dan Tucker of Swartz Creek; step-daughter, Pam (Eric) Glaude of Tucson, AZ; 11 grandchildren, Rene, Kelly, Susan, Lori, Stacy, Keri, Ryan, Aaron, Jody, Adam and Jared; 16 great-grandchildren; sisters, Bea Davis, Mildred (Arnie) Jones; brother, Harold (Dorothy) Tubbs; many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Joyce was also preceded in death by her brother, Roland Tubbs; son-in-law, Steve Gorrie. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the staff of Avalon Hospice for their care and kindness.
