MILLER, Joyce A. - Age 79, of Flushing formerly of Grand Blanc, died Thursday, March 19, 2015. Funeral services will be held 12PM, Monday, March 23, 2015 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. Pastor Jeff Krist officiating. Visitation will be held from 1-4PM and 6-8PM on Sunday. Those desiring may make contributions to Hospice of Grand Blanc. Joyce was born July 2, 1935 in Millington, Michigan, the daughter of the late Sidney L. and Bertha M. (Camp) Empey. She married Frederick Miller on July 21, 1956 in Vasser MI, he preceded her in death on May 3, 2008. Joyce enjoyed garage sales, country music and spending time with her daughters. Surviving are: daughters, Kimberly (George) Beckley of Flint, Jacqueline Machala of Owosso, Debra (Mark) Farley of Imlay City, Kelly (Akram) Hamady of Grand Blanc; 6 grandchildren, Scott, Zackary, Joshua, Monica, Shayla, Bailey; 1 great grandson Alex; brother, Robert (Carmaleta ) Empey of Muskegon; sister, Betty Lambert of Vassar; special nieces and nephews and many good friends. She was also preceded in death by her sisters Beulah, Harriet, Alice; brothers, Claude, Ed, George, Lloyd and Jimmy.
