Joseph Moody Younce Jr.

Joseph Moody Younce Jr, 65, of Gaines township, MI passed away on December 26th 2024. A Celebration of Life will be at 1:00 PM Saturday, January 4, 2025 at Calvary Apostolic Church, 5255 Linden Road, Swartz Creek. The family invites you to celebrate his beautiful life with family and friends. We will take time to honor the lasting impact he had on all of our lives. A luncheon will follow the service, at the church.  

Joseph was born July 13, 1959 in Flint, Michigan. Joseph was preceded in death by his father Joseph Younce Sr, his mother Louise Younce, his sister Marsha Cross, and ex-wife Selena Younce. He leaves behind two special sisters Kimberly Swisher, and Joan Khachouf of Gaines, he will be deeply missed by his fiancée Joann McCann of Gaines who he loved dearly. Joseph is survived by nephews, nieces, cousins and many friends. He leaves behind his only daughter, Gabriella Younce of Grand Blanc, whom he devoted his entire life to. Lastly, the most special person he leaves behind is his only grandchild, Celina Jones, who completely stole his whole heart from the day she was born. 

Joseph retired from General Motors in the early 2000’s and spent the rest of his life doing exactly what he wanted. Between being the best father and “papa” he loved spending his Sundays at church, going to the gun range, spending time with friends/family, and making Joann cook him beans and cornbread. You are one of a kind and special to so many here on earth, your happiness was truly contagious and heaven is so lucky to have you.
