WARDIE, Joseph Dolor  Age 84, of Fenton, reached out and took the hand of  Jesus Sunday, February 20, 2005 at his residence.  Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, February 25, 2005 at Hidden Springs Church, 5860 N. Latson Rd., Howell.  Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes; Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden from 5-9 PM Wednesday and 1-4 and 6-9 PM Thursday. Those desiring may make contributions to the Hidden Springs Church or Genesys Hospice. Mr. Wardie was born March 21, 1920 in Flint the son of Joseph M. and Lila (Armstrong) Wardie. He has resided in Fenton since 1948. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in WWII and a life member of the Linden V.F.W. post #4642.  Mr. Wardie married Grace L. Lobb on September 20, 1941 in Akron, MI. He retired from G.M. Fisher Body Grand Blanc in 1982 with 30 years of service. He was a member of Hidden Springs Church and was a pianist for the church and for local convalescent centers. Surviving are: wife, Grace; 3 children, Joseph (Mary) of Fenton, Gloria (Harold) Weaver of Alpena, Ronald (Janeen) of Harper Woods; 8 grandchildren, Amy (Matt) Rechsteiner, Joseph M. (Dorie) Wardie, Ben (Amy) Weaver, Dan (Monica) Weaver, Chad (Missy) Wardie, Cameron (Andrea) Wardie, Zechariah Marsh, Joshua Marsh; 13 great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Jacob, Joseph, Joshua, Jack, Nathan, Reagan, Jacquelyn Quinn, Shane, Clayton, Abbigale, Grace, Magdalyn; brother, Calvin Bud (Marion) of Linden; half-sister, Delores Burnaford of Florida; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Lila Wardie; birth parents, Ralph and Elva (Johnson) Paul; and son, Rickie in 1954.
