Joseph John Slis, Jr.

SLIS, JOSEPH JOHN, Jr. - Age 72 of Swartz Creek, passed away, July 30, 2024. Memorial Service 3:00 PM Saturday, August 3, 2024 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Deacon Ron Kenney officiating. Visitation 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM Saturday.

Joseph was born September 11, 1951 in Hamtramck, the son of Joseph John and Mary Helen (Sable) Slis, Sr. He graduated from St. Anne Catholic High School in Warren. He later received his B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering from Lawrence Technological University. Joseph was employed as an Electrical Engineer in the Automotive Industry for many years. He was a classic car enthusiast who enjoyed attending "Back to the Bricks" in Flint and the "Woodward Dream Cruise" in Royal Oak. Joseph enjoyed working with technology especially computers, audio systems, and was a Ham Radio Operator. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and attending their sporting events. His other interests included fishing, and mountain bike riding.

Joseph is survived by, his Life Partner, Angie H. Payne; his daughters, Carlene M. (Dan) Sienkiewicz, and Jennifer Slis; grandchildren, Alex, T.J., Tyler, and Max; his sister, Mary Ann (Gary) Stempien.
