Shavrnoch, Joseph James Sr., Age 69, died April 24, 2015 No memorial service is planned in Michigan. A small service will be held in the Superstitious Mountains in Apache Junction, AZ. Those desiring may make contributions to the Shiawassee County Hospice House, American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society. Joseph was born June 28, 1945 in Owosso, Michigan, the son of John and Isabella (Jennings) Shavrnoch. He resided in Owosso, MI, Fenton, MI and most recently Scottsdale, AZ. He was a US Army veteran from 1963-1966. For many years, he owned and operated the Clark service station in Fenton, MI. He was also a volunteer fireman in Fenton, MI for many years and retired from ADT Security, as an alarm installer in Scottsdale, AZ. Joseph enjoyed fishing, bingo, casino gaming, playing cards and board games, reading Clive Cussler novels, country music and watching his favorite team, the Detroit Tigers. Surviving are: daughter, Tammy and husband Edward of Clayton Township; son, Joseph, Jr. and wife Laura of Apache Junction, AZ; brothers, Jerome and Jeff of Lake City, MI; sisters, Jackie of Houston, TX, Judy of Denver, CO, Janice of Jackson, MI and Jennifer of Owosso, MI; 4 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and very special friend, Darlene of South Sioux City, NE.
