Joseph G. Scheffer

SCHEFFER, Joseph G. Age 40, of Linden, died while skiing in Cadillac. Funeral service will be held 1PM Wednesday, March 9, 2005 at Sharp Funeral Home, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd. Fenton. Rev. J.D. Landis officiating. Visitation will be 2-9PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions for his children be made to the Joseph G. Scheffer Family Fund, in care of The State Bank of Fenton. Joseph was born September 10, 1964 in Ypsilanti, the son of Marcus and Irene (Dunn) Scheffer.He graduated from New Boston Huron High School in 1982, and attended Henry Ford Community College. Joseph married Jennifer J. Butler in 1993 in Romulus where they resided until moving to Hartland, and then, for the past two years in Linden. He was employed by General Motors Powertrain (Willow Run- Hydromatic) and member of the Linden Sportsman Club. Joseph also participated in the Mens Hockey League at Kensington Valley Ice House in Brighton. Surviving are his wife Jennifer; 2 children, Joseph S. Scheffer of Linden, Jeena R. Scheffer of Linden; parents, Marcus and Irene Scheffer of Crossville, TN; mother and father-in-law, Richard and Dee Butler of Linden; brother Mark and wife Karen Scheffer of Livonia; nephew, Andrew Scheffer of Livonia; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
