Joseph Rogers

ROGERS, Joseph Anthony - Age 69, of Flint, died Friday April 10, 2015. Funeral services will be held 4PM Monday, April 13, 2015 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. Burial will follow in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date . Visitation will be held 2PM until time of service Monday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to the Old News Boys of Flint. Joseph was born in Traverse City, MI the son of Claude Ellis and Margaret Leona Potter. He married Nina Belcher in Flint, on April 27, 1968 she preceded him in death in 2004. Joseph served is country in the Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from G.M. Delphi Division plant Chevy in the Hole with 25 years of service. Joe enjoyed motorcycles, fishing, camping and hunting. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren and family. Surviving are: daughter, Misty (Courtney) Rogers-Hodges of Flint; grandchildren, Amelia Rogers, Erza Hodges both at home; brother, Rick Ellis of Burton; sisters, Tricia (Dave) Lucas of Lewiston, MI, Deanna Whiteaker of Flint, Renee Ellis of Flint; many nieces and nephews.
