MINNIEAR, Joseph Gardner - age 92, of Grand Blanc, died Saturday, December 3, 2016 at his residence. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-8 PM Thursday, December 8, 2016 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. There will be no formal funeral service and burial at Flint Memorial Park will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Mr. Minniear was born September 10, 1924 in Bernie, MO, the son of Leander and Agnes (Bright) Minniear. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corp serving during World War II as a surgical technician. He was the General Manager of Moyer Beverage and retired as the General Manager of Sullivan and O'Sullivan Distributing. Mr. Minniear was an avid golfer and enjoyed bowling. Surviving are: four children, Diane (Dennis) Lumsden, Paul (Nancy) Minniear, Elaine (Ray) Wascher, and Joan (Terry) Wooten; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Coleen (Clark) in 1992 and his second wife, Eva Mae (Dickerson) in 2013.
