MCREE, Joseph E.E. - Age 82, of Swartz Creek, died Saturday, June 18, 2016. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Joseph was born December 2, 1933 in Mobile, Alabama the son of the late Edward Eugene and Marie Rose Aline (Gagne') McRee. He married Janet Babieracki on April 27, 1957. Joseph served honorably in the U. S. Marines from 1951-1954. Joe served with units A-1-5-1, 3MC-3-3 and Al-10-2. He retired from the U.S. Naval Reserve as a CPO, he was executive officer of TD 9-37 and was the 1st commanding officer of the Flint U.S. Naval Sea Cadets. Joe is a past post Commander of VFW post 3720, it's first All State Commander. Joe was a life member of the VFW, NERA, MOC and VFW National Home. He was also a member of the American Legion, Golden Saber and the Guidon. Joe retired from GMC as a Sr. Programmer/Analyst and held both commercial and amateur (W8AHO) radio licenses along with a private pilot license. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Janet K. McRee of Swartz Creek; sons, Joel M. of Swartz Creek, Dr. John P. McRee of Lowell, MI; daughter Jeanine (Randy) Adams of Huntington, IN; grandchildren, Joel Jr., Jaclyn, Tylor, Jana, Jeni, Forrest and Gabby; 4 great grandchildren; brother James D.
