Joseph Martin

Martin, Joseph Paul "Joey" - Age 29, of  Flushing, died September 24, 2019. Services will be held 1 PM Saturday October 5 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center,  6063 Fenton Road, Flint. Visitation will be held 11 AM  until the time of the service Saturday October 5. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions to the Joseph Martin Memorial Fund c/o Sharp Funeral Homes. Joseph  was born June 22, 1990 in Owosso, Michigan, the son of Paul David Martin and Susan (Vroman) Martin. He had attended Flushing and Montrose Schools. He loved his work as an iron worker. He loved kids, the great outdoors, and animals. Joey was a dependable friend and always ready to lend a helping hand. He loved spending time at Big Bay and in the Upper Peninsula. Surviving are: his mother Susan Martin; sister Angela Martin (Nicholas Baumgart); half sisters, Suzette (Glenn) Cole, Annette (Joe) Mongar, Paulette Ward; cousin, who he considered a brother, Matthew Hobson; his little Sweetie pie , his Niece Lily; nephew, Cody (Alexis) Mongar; nephew, Andrew Martin; niece Samantha Derosia; special friends Josh and Kelsey, Travis Atwell, and so many more friends that touched his life as he grew. He was preceded in death by his father Paul; brother, Nicholas; beloved grandfather Rollin Vroman; grandmother, Elizabeth Vroman; grandparents, Virgil and Elsie Martin.
