LAMENDOLA, Joseph J. "Joe" - Age 83, of Fenton, died Tuesday, August 3, 2010. Services will be held 1 PM Saturday, August 7, 2010 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. The family will receive friends from 11 AM until the time of service. Those desiring may make contributions to the Alzheimer's Association. Joe was born October 28, 1926 in Detroit. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, receiving an honorable discharge in 1946. He then went to work for General Motors at the Fleetwood Cadillac Plant, where he worked his way up to Plant Supervisor in the Paint Department, retiring in May 1981. Following retirement, Joe went to work for Inmont and P.P.G. as a paint advisor. Surviving are: wife, Irene; his children, Reda (Edward) Christie, Linda (Richard) Wood, Gloria (Donald) Beckman, Dianne (Pete Paeich) Lamendola, Pamela Cretney; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; five brothers and five sisters.
