KROTZER, Joseph Bernard Sr. Â Age 77, of Flint/Swartz Creek, died July 11, 2004 at the family reunion on the family farm in Gladwin. Funeral Services will be held 2 PM Thursday, July 15, 2004 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, Pastor Roger Kilponen officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Cemetery with graveside military honors held under the auspices of Swartz Creek Post 3720 V.F.W. Â AMVETS. Visitation will be held 7-9 PM Tuesday, 2-5 and 7-9 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to St. Paul Lutheran School. Mr. Krotzer was born October 20, 1926 in Flint the son of Joseph M. and Beatrice B. (Thompson) Krotzer. He was a 1944 graduate of Flint Central High School and had resided in Clayton Township since 1958. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Navy on the USS Albert W. Grant. He married Betty Ruth Raedeke in Flint on August 17, 1946. Mr. Krotzer retired from G.M. Truck and Bus Flint Assembly in 1977 and was a member of U.A.W. Local 598 Retirees. He was a charter member of the Swartz Creek V.F.W. Post 3720. He attended Grace Lutheran Church for many years. He was a member of the Swartz Creek Senior Citizens. Â Surviving are: wife, Betty Ruth; 5 children, Joseph Jr. of Marion, Larry D. and wife Paulette of Swartz Creek, Dennis M. and wife Marilyn of Baroda, MI, Terry and wife Virginia Bebe of Swartz Creek, Tamara J. and husband Michael Kapraun of Flint; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Kathryn and husband Christopher Penny of Pinconning.
