KIDA, Joseph P.  Age 78, of Swartz Creek, died Friday, February 24, 2006 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Tuesday, February 28, 2006 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Burial will follow in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5-9 PM Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the Salvation Army. Joseph was born October 28, 1927 in Flint, the son of Frank and Hedwig Kida and had been an area resident his entire life. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from General Motors in 1985. Surviving are: children, Suzette Adams of Flint, Jeffrey Kida and wife Barb of Traverse City, Valerie Williams of Stockbridge, GA; 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Dorris of Davison.
