Joseph Havran

HAVRAN, Joseph -- Age 95, of Flint, passed away on September 17, 2018 at Sugarbush Assisted Living. Services will be held 10:30 AM Thursday October 4 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd., Holly. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint. Joseph was born on September 5, 1923 in Olyphant, PA the son of Onufer and Eleanor (Zator) Havran. He was a member of the Russian Orthodox Church. He was employed by Chevrolet V-8 with over 40 years of services in Tool and Die. He was a Veteran of WWII and served the 489th AAA Batallion attached to the 4TH Armed Division of the 3rd Army. He served under General Patton. Surviving are children, Joanne Hammerberg, Cynthia Lynn Havran and Joseph G. Havran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann (Hyduchak) Havran. brothers and sisters, Olga, Walter, Helen, Theodore, Nester and Barbara. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
