GONDOL, Joseph J. -- Age 88 of Brighton, formerly of Flint died Friday, February 5, 2016. Funeral services will be held 2PM on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Deacon Ron Kenney officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 5-8PM Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Joseph was born May 5, 1927 the son of Simon J. and Anna (Police) Gondol Sr., in Flint. He attended and graduated from Flint Northern High School, and is a veteran of WWII having served in the U.S. Navy. He worked for the Wayne County Court System as a court recorder, and also for the Federal Court in Detroit. Joseph enjoyed collecting classic cars, and particularly loved Thunderbirds and Lincoln Survived by: sister, Irene (Maynard) Kranz, as well numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
