Joseph Giacalone

GIACALONE, Joseph Paul - Age 78, of Flint, died January 3, 2018. Services will be held at a later date. Those desiring may make contributions to Hospice House of Shiawassee County. Joe was born July 7, 1939 in Flint, the son of James and Dorothy (Cicalo) Giacalone. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Joe was a businessman, but also a very creative person who enjoyed writing, painting and reading. He was a talented cartoonist and avid outdoorsman. He loved his family and friends. He is survived by his daughter, Maria (Noah) Giacalone-Bartsoff; grandchildren, Pearce and Emerson; sister, Maria; brothers, Phil, Tony and Chris; many nieces, nephews and cousins who will dearly miss him, as well as his beloved dog, Duffy. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Anthony.
