FUMICH, Joseph "Chuck" - Age 87, died June 1, 2019 at his home in Grand Blanc. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Thursday, June 6, 2019 at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church, 7296 Gale Road, Goodrich. Fr. David Harvey celebrant. Visitation will be held at the church 10 AM Thursday until the time of the Mass. Interment in Great Lakes National Cemetery will take place at a later date. Chuck was born on July 24, 1931 in Pursglove, WV to George and Madeline (Sekeres) Fumich. He graduated from West Virginia University in 1953 with a degree in Industrial Management. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He married Sally Ann Hassler May 5, 1956 in Cleveland, OH. His work experience included positions with Ford Motor Transmission Plant in Cinncinnati, Cadillac Tank Plant in Cleveland, and Cadillac Motor Car Division in Detroit from where he retired as Director of Transportation. Chuck is survived by: his most faithful and loving wife of 63 years, Sally Ann, as well as their children, Karen (Fumich) Wezner and John Wezner, Joe and Laurie Fumich, Diane (Fumich) Vansant, Patricia (Fumich) Henning and Mark Henning, grandchildren and relatives. Chuck was an avid hunter and fisherman. His other hobbies included traveling the world, playing pinochle, picking mushrooms, and most of all, rooting for his beloved football team, the West Virginia Mountaineers.
