Joseph Fredericks

FREDERICKS, Joseph A. -- Passed away at his home in Smoaks, SC on July 7, 2015 at the age of 81. Joe was born in Genesee County, Michigan. The son of the late Anthony and Alice Fredericks. Joe was a retired management consultant in the retail food business. He was a United States Army Veteran, proudly serving his country in Korea. Joe is survived by his children, Bethany (Larry) Dimmig, Jane (Nicholas) Hamp and Joseph Fredericks II "Chip" (Patrice), grandchildren, Meghann (Joe) Trancoso, Hillary (Jason) Hanson, Marc (Deborah) Dimmig, great grand children, sisters, Betty Shong, Arlene Naas adn Juan (Mike) Potoczny, brothers, Stanley (Mary Ann) Fredericks, and Daniel (Kathy) Fredericks, many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 12, at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint. Beth, Jane and Chip will welcome family and friends at 2:00 PM, with service at 3:00PM. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to Ducks Unlimited or VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars). Joe enjoyed traveling and visited much of the U.S. and several countries in Europe, as well as Africa.
