Joseph Conway Dormady

 DORMADY, Joseph Conway- Age 88, of Howell, formerly of Farmington, passed away February 9, 2025. A Committal Service with Army Honors will take place 1:00 PM Friday, March 14, 2025, at Great Lakes National Cemetery 4200 Belford Rd., Holly. A Celebration of Life Gathering will follow the Cemetery Service. Contributions in Joseph's memory would be appreciated to The Gary Sinise Foundation. Joseph was born November 4,1936 in Ithaca, NY, the son of Edward A. and Mary Elizabeth (Conway) Dormady. He married Mary Ann Jones on September 7, 1957. He attended the University of Toronto where he met Mary Ann. Joseph proudly served in the U.S. Army for two years in the Army Security Agency. He was employed as an IT developer and in the International Division of Burroughs Corp. After retiring from Burroughs, Joseph started a Quality Management Consulting Group, under the name of The Project Technologies Group. He enjoyed traveling, and was an avid fan of all Detroit sports teams, especially The Detroit Lions. Joseph also enjoyed reading and studying Military History. Joseph is survived by, his wife, Mary Ann; daughters, Mary (Robert) Baumann, Kathy (Raymond) Schroeder, Kris (Richard) Ford, and Jean (James) Courtney; grandchildren, Michael, Hallie, Alex, Jill, Kendall, Sam, Elizabeth, and Jake; also, many nieces and nephews.
