Joseph Alan Dent

DENT, Joseph Alan - Age 68, of Grand Blanc, passed away Monday, October 7, 2024. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc. 

Joseph was born September 17, 1956 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, the son of William and Myrtle Irene (Carr) Dent. He married Betsy Ann Miller in Grand Blanc on October 12, 2018. After retiring from JLL, where he had served as site manager at the Swartz Creek and Davison Road GM plants, Joe enjoyed spending time with his family, his dogs, barbecuing on his deck, and Michigan Football. 

Surviving are: his wife, Betsy; daughter, Kim (Jay) Savage; son, Kevin (Ashley) Dent; three grandchildren, Caiden, Easton, and Ellie; two stepsons, Jay (Brittney) Miller and Jordan (Libby) Miller; his dogs, Jack and Tuzzi. Joe is also survived by his two brothers, Ed and John, two sisters, Patricia and Donna; and several nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents Irene and Bill Dent; sister, Mary and brother-in-law, John.
