BINDER, Joseph Thomas "Joewhizzer" - Age 73, of Linden, died April 8, 2017. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden. Visitation will be held 2-4 & 6-8 PM Wednesday and 12 PM until the time of service Thursday. Interment will be 2 PM Monday, April 17, 2017 at Great Lakes National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the family. Joe was born June 13, 1943 in Detroit. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a trained Army vehicle mechanic (Big Red One). He worked many years in the Industrial Diamond Tooling Trade. He was an avid golfer, bowler and Whizzer and Cushman motor bike enthusiast. He enjoyed volunteering at St. Jude Episcopal Church. Joe was a true gentleman whose heart was bigger than life. He is survived by his children, Joseph Binder, MaryKathleen (Lon J.) Pratt, Ellen Marie Thomas-Binder; grandchildren, Faith Ann (Hank), Myranda Eileen (Nathan), James Michael, Joseph Thomas and Lon Christopher; great-grandgirls, Saige Annabelle and Malone Caitrin Marieen; brother, John "Jack" (Janet) Binder; sister, AnnaMay (Bob) Rheam; and his precious Sophie.
