Joseph Andrew Agosta

AGOSTA, Joseph, Andrew - Age 84, of Fenton, formerly of Detroit, passed away January, 27, 2025. A Committal Service with Military Honors will be held 1:30 PM Thursday, February 6, 2025 at Great Lakes National Cemetery 4200 Belford Road, Holly. Memorial contributions in Joseph's memory would be appreciated to The D.A.V. Disabled American Veterans.

Joseph was born August 4, 1940 in Detroit, the son of Andrew and Josephine (Barraco) Agosta. He married Frances E. Lester at Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska on August 3, 1963. Joseph graduated from Cody High School in Detroit. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force for 8 years. He was the Head of IT for the Circulation Department for The Detroit News and was employed there for 28 years. Joseph enjoyed woodworking and photography. 

He is survived by his wife, Frances; children, Nicholas Agosta, Christopher Agosta, Paul (April) Agosta, and Susan (William) Mosby; 7 grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, Amanda, Andrew, Katelyn, Tristen, and Hunter; his sister, Patricia Agosta; and several nieces and nephews.
