Jose' Contreras

CONTRERAS, Jose - Age 85, of Flint, died Monday, June 30, 2014. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Saturday, July 5 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 2316 W. Coldwater Rd., Flint. Visitation will be held 11 AM - 2 PM Friday with a Rosary being prayed at 1:30 PM at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint; and 10 -11 AM at church on Saturday. Those desiring may make contributions to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Jose was born November 29, 1928 Sabinas Hidalgo Nuevo Leon, Mexico the son of Tomas and Irene (Hernandez) Contreras. He married Nora Morales on December 30, 1961 in Mexico; she preceded him in death May 30, 2005. He retired from GM Truck and Bus in 1988 with 31 years of service. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and the Church Choir; and UAW Local 598. Surviving are: three children, Jose L. (Michelle) Contreras of Swartz Creek, Nora E. (Dennis) Andreski of Huntertown, IN, Diana N. (Timothy) Rollison of Grand Blanc; six grandchildren Jessica, Sarah, Kyle, Tayler, Sawyer, Jaxxon; four great-grandchildren; siblings in Mexico.
