Jonathan Paul Simons

Simons, Jonathan Paul - Age 21, of Durand, died Sunday, August 6, 2006 as the result of a motorcycle accident. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, August 11 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, Pastor Russ Park officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Vernon. Visitation will be held 5-9 PM Wednesday, and 1-4 and 6-9 Thursday at the funeral home.  A time of sharing for family and friends will be held 7 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Jonathan P. Simons Memorial Fund. Jonathan was born October 4, 1984 in Seoul, South Korea, the son of Benjamin and Donna Simons. He grew up in Durand and graduated from Durand High School in 2003. He had attended Mott Community College. He had a very strong love for Soccer and harness racing. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was very compassionate. He is survived by his parents, Benjamin and Donna Simons of Durand; his sister, Stefanie Simons of Durand; special friend, Joanna Shankster of Durand; Grandparents, Irene Cheadle of Flint, Edith and Bob Kelly of Flushing; many aunts, uncles and cousins; many dear friends; and his dog, Jazzy.
