Jon Eric 'Rick' Sparr

SPARR, Jon Eric Rick  Age 58, of Oakdale, PA, formerly of Flint, died Tuesday, March 23, 2004 at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. A memorial mass will be celebrated 11 AM Saturday, March 27, 2004 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, G-5199 Richfield Rd., Flint with Fr. Paul Schwermer celebrant. Interment of cremated remains will be held at Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2-9 PM Friday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek where a rosary will be prayed at 8 PM Friday evening at the funeral home. Mr. Sparr was born September 7, 1945 in Detroit, the son of James E. and Mary M. (Toth) Sparr. He married Teresa Lupfer in Howell on October 7, 1967. Mr. Sparr lived in the Kearsley district of Flint for 23 years and was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Surviving are: wife, Teresa; son, Anthony Tony Sparr and wife, Kay (Burger) of Burton; daughter, Heidi and husband, Mike Scharlow of New Port Richey, FL; four grandchildren, James (age 11), Eric (age 6), Jacy (age 3), Kaylee (age 1); five siblings, Joanne and husband, John Smarney of Gaines, Greg Sparr and wife, Mary of Howell, Bradley Sparr and wife, Susan of McKinney, TX, Randy Sparr, Pamela Sparr, both of Flint; several cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephew.
