Jon Eugene Lewis

LEWIS, Jon Eugene - Of Grand Blanc, age 69, died September 10, 2005 at McLaren Regional Medical Center.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 15 from 3 - 7pm at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint. Private internment will take place at Sunset Memorial Cemetery, Port Huron on Friday, September 16.  Jon was born in Port Huron on March 13, 1936.  He married Margaret Hoover on March 19, 1960.  Jon sailed the Great Lakes and served in the Army and retired from General Motors in 1991. Jon was a lifetime member of the Elks and was an avid golfer. He is survived by his wife Margaret, children Melissa of Grand Blanc and Jon Jr. of New York, New York, brother and sisters William T. Lewis (Mary), Mary Jean Borowski of Port Huron, Linda L. Moxam (Guy) of Flint, grandchildren Madisen, Emma, and Olivia Lewis and mother Rena of Bronxville, New York and many special nieces and nephews.  Jon will be remembered for his generosity and kindness and will be sorely missed by his family and friends. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
