John White

White, John Gordon - Age 68, of Linden, died Thursday, August 10, 2017. Services will be held 2 PM Monday, August 21, 2017 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd. Holly. John was born on October 28, 1948 in Owosso, MI. He was the son of James and Marion (Smith)White. In his younger years, John was a "roadie" touring with the band Terry and the Pack; also known as Grand Funk Railroad. He was self-employed as a welder and a long-haul trucker for many years. He was a member of the Million Mile Club and the NRA. John enjoyed time spent at the shooting range and attending Top Fuel Drag Races. Surviving are: Daughter, Melissa and Mark Robinson of Linden; Son, Shawn and Amy White of Byron; Grandchildren, Merrik, Riley, and Gibson White; Corey and Ava White; Siblings, Sue Robar and Celia Kelly; and numerous life-long friends, including Sandra McClure. He was preceded in death by his parents James and Marion White; siblings, Gene White, Ellen Jo Cavanaugh, Lorraine Murphy, James White and Janet Watkins.
