TURNER, John F. Jack  age 75, of Swartz Creek, died Thursday, May 05, 2005 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, May 11, 2005 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Interment will follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be from 12-4 and 6-9 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the American Heart Association. Mr. Turner was born March 5, 1930, in Flint, the son of John and Jeanette (Foether) Turner. He married Diane Wyckoff on October 23, 1954 in Sheridan, MI. Mr. Turner served in the U.S. Army as a Staff Sergent on the front lines in the Korean War. He was a life member of the American Legion, 40 ET 8 and the VFW. Mr. Turner retired from the United States Postal Service as the Maintenance Supervisor after 30 years of service. His greatest love was having fun with his family and friends. Surviving are: wife of 50 years, Diane of Swartz Creek; four children, John F. Turner and wife, Vickie of Burton, Jill and husband, Doug Welch of Morrison, CO, Mark Turner and wife, Susan of Swartz Creek, Patrick Turner and wife, Patricia of Sugar land, TX; eight grandchildren, Shari, Carol, Daniel, Catherine, Jeffry, Gregory, Staci, Steven; sister, Dorothy and husband, Mert Burkholder of Scottsdale, AZ.
