John Toler, Jr.

TOLER, John Alexander, Jr. - age 96, of Flint Twp., died April 12, 2023. Private services will be held. John was born December 30, 1926 in Fort Dodge, IA, the son of John A. and Elsie L. (Burns) Toler, Sr. He married Mary Claire Dion in 1947 and she preceded him in death in March 2014. John retired from the Flint Journal. Surviving are: son, James (Pamela) Toler of Davison; daughter, Kerry Newton and fiance, Patrick Vincent; daughter-in-law, Debra Toler; two grandsons, Matthew and Thomas Toler. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; two sons, John and Robert Toler; siblings, Rose, Richard, and Elsie.
