John E. SVINARICH

SVINARICH, John E. -- Age 81, of Swartz Creek, died July 17, 2011 at his residence. Funeral mass will be celebrated 2 PM Thursday, July 21 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, Swartz Creek, Fr. Steve Mattson celebrant. Interment in St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Tuesday, 1-4 and 6-8 PM Wednesday with a 6 PM Rosary service at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek; and 1 PM until the time of mass at church Thursday. Mr. Svinarich was born October 18, 1929 in Flint the son of Vid and Anna (Mucha) Svinarich. He was a 1953 graduate of All Saints High School and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He married Agnes B. Durish June 23, 1962 at St. Mary's in Swartz Creek. He retired from Consumers Power with 25 years of service. He was a member of the Swartz Creek Friendship Club, the Czech Singers, and St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church. Surviving are wife Agnes; son, John and wife Kari Svinarich of Grand Blanc; daughter Pam and husband Scott Metcalf of Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Khrystal and husband Wally Crosno, Molly and husband Aaron Cleary all of Wisconsin, Chelsea Metcalf of Pennsylvania, Justin Svinarich of Swartz Creek, Tyler Svinarich, Joey Svinarich, Lauren Kaczperski all of Grand Blanc; three great-grandchildren, Jamison, Donnabelle, and Willie; siblings, Agnes Ovadek, Ann Heidenreich, Vid and wife Millie Svinarich, Robert and wife Virginia Svinarich; brother-in-law Cliff Lintz; many nieces and nephews.
