STERGIOPOULOS, John Thomas - Age 72, of Burton, died Friday, July 22, 2016. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 26 at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, 2245 E. Baldwin Rd, Grand Blanc. Fr. Angelo Maggos officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be held 2 - 9 PM Monday with a Trisagion service at 7 PM at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. Those desiring may make contributions to the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church. John was born October 13, 1943 in Velvendo, Greece, the son of Thomas and Anna (Zguros) Stergiopoulos. He married Zoi J. Douros on May 18, 1969 in Velvendo, Greece. He was the Co-Owner of Star Brother's Coney Island. John enjoyed gardening and remodeling. John is survived by his wife Zoi; two daughters, Anna (Brad) Fowler, Genie (George) Zaravelis; three grandchildren, Konstantinos, Zoe and Giuliana; siblings, Andy (Paula) Star, Sophia Zerva of Greece; sisters-in-law, Mary Stergiopoulos and Betty Star. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Stefanos, George, Nicko, Athanasios.
