John Ecker

Ecker, John Roger  - Age 49, of  Fenton, died March 31, 2021. Visitation will be held 10 AM - 3 PM Saturday April 17 at Sharp Funeral Homes,  Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. A private family service will be held and can be viewed by live stream at 3 PM Saturday, April 17 at John's page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.  In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions for a college fund for John and Jossalyn to be established , c/o Kim Ecker. John  was born July 20 , 1971 in Flint the son of John Roger Ecker and Debra Ann (McFall). He was a 1989 graduate of Lake Fenton High School.  John married Kimberly Asbel on September 14, 2002 in Fenton. He was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed kayaking, hunting and fishing. He loved the warm and the sun, but also loved the winter. John was known as a happy person and a jokester. He was a big family man. He loved hard! He was a great husband and father, one of the best. He loved sports and watching Lake Fenton and U of M games. He had true Lake Fenton School pride. Surviving are: his wife of 18 years Kim; two children John Roger Ecker III, Jossalyn Grace Ecker; mother and step-father, Debra Ecker and William Lynch; sister Amy Ecker (Travis); step-brother William (Bernadette) Lynch; mother-in-law, Diana Asbel; father-in-law, Russell (Debbie) Asbel; two brothers-in-law, Russell (Marina) Asbel, Lee Asbel; many loved aunts, uncles, nieces and cousins; best friend brother David (Katrina) Gibson.
