RASMOVICH, John Joseph - Age 59, of Flint Twp., died Saturday, January 9, 2010 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Memorial Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton. Rev. Fr. David Harvey celebrant. The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM Tuesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. John was born December 15, 1950 in Flint, the son of Anthony and Ann Marie (Courtney) Rasmovich. He was a 1969 graduate of Fenton High School, where he played on the tennis and football teams. He earned his B.A. and M.A. from Eastern Michigan University, where he also played football. John was married to Deborah Arnott on June 23, 1978. He taught at Clio High School for 35 years. John enjoyed landscaping and mowing his yard (his lines were always perfect) and was passionate about Newfoundland dogs, especially Amos. Surviving are: wife, Deborah; sons, Jason, Michael (Sarah); mother, Ann; brothers, Tom (Janet) Rasmovich, Mike Rasmovich; sister, Mary Ann (Mike) Sloan; cousin, Tim Courtney; many nieces, nephews and good friends. He was preceded in death by his father. The family extends a special thank you to the nurses at McLaren, 6th Floor CCU.
